My Excuse For Being Me

This section is an in-depth look on some of the details of my personal life. Think of it as a mental field trip inside a winding maze in Minos while being pursued by a half man, half bull creature.

School is in Session
My elementary years were really fun and exciting. We had to write lengthy notes during lectures so I often abbreviated words including the word "assignment". Imagine my teacher's shock when she found out what I wrote on my notebooks -- "ass"!
 

High School High
I studied high school in Meycauayan College in my first, third and fourth year. Somehow during that time, I got tired of being the model and intelligent student and associated myself with the rebels and trouble-makers.

When Dogs Dream
Janet took this when she was at home working on some bank stuff. Our dog (Bart) usually goes into this violent dream mode like he's being chased by a hundred cats.


 

My Lo Layp in Istudyante
Istudyante was a news magazine mainly for college students. I think it was launched in 1986. I joined, I think, in 1987 as Student Writer. It was published by the Monica Publishing Company (the same group that publishes the Abante and Abante Tonite tabloids.
 

The Big Blue Bank
In a previous life (the 1990s), I was a banker for a large Philippine bank that is now extinct. I went to a lot of trainings and seminars which means that my life was filled with PowerPoint presentations, acetates, projectors and lethal amounts of partying until dawn, dude!   

Virtual Unreality

Aside from the usual brush with Homeland Security and trying to evade them when conducting clandestine cell meetings, plus the usual arms smuggling, shipment of biological weapons and nuclear reactors from the former Soviet Union -- life has been very uneventful.

My Big, Fat Greco - Iberian Connection

My family may be related to Sparta’s 300 and even to Jennifer Aniston. My middle name is Aristorenas and there may be a link to the Greek’s Aristotle and to Brad Pitt’s former girlfriend who was originally surnamed Anastassakis.
