Painting
With Light
I use a
professional camera but I'm not a professional.
My need to learn photography came when I noticed that no one
in particular was covering our numerous church events. I
borrowed a small compact film camera and took pictures which
I later mounted at the church bulletin board. In college, I
bought my own Kodak compact and regularly covered church and
family events.
Decades later, I'm still learning and joining photo contests
although I seldom win.

I
covered this parenting seminar by Proclaim His Name
Christian Fellowship and Back to the Bible last January
2009. The speaker was Rev. Clem Guillermo. Total attendance
for the morning and afternoon session was over 3,000.

I heard
the details of this contest on the radio while riding the FX shuttle
in Trinoma. My titles for the entries include: Bringing In The Dead,
Your Room is Ready Sir, The Undertakers' Board Meeting and Jewelry
Making.

Some of my photo contest entries for the
Chowking Photo Contest. Ann Janet (my sister) was the reluctant
model. The prize was a sleek Compaq mini notebook which sadly, we
did not win.

After Rev. Willie Basilio's stint at
Family Matters as on-air counselor and before Kaye Langit -
Luistro's recording for our radio programs, Kuya Clem treated all of
us to a shabu-shabu at SM City The Block.

to lunch. He is essentially and consistently generous, and
we decided to recognize his charity by pressuring him to be
